Spatial & Object Practice explores how meaning is constructed through space, form, and physical relationships. This program is designed for artists working with objects, installations, scenography, environments, and spatial composition. Students investigate how scale, placement, material, movement, and absence shape perception and experience.
Rather than producing isolated objects, the focus is on context: how work exists in relation to bodies, architecture, and surrounding space. Projects may include installation studies, object-based research, spatial sketches, or site-responsive works — both physical and conceptual.
The program emphasizes thinking through making: using materials, space, and constraints as tools for inquiry. Students develop a spatial language and learn how to document, reflect on, and articulate spatial work.
