Image-Making & Photography explores photography as a way of thinking, constructing meaning, and working with attention. This program moves beyond technical instruction to focus on how images are built: through light, distance, framing, repetition, staging, and manipulation. Students work with photography as a flexible medium — documentary, abstract, performative, or constructed — depending on intention rather than convention.
You will develop projects through iterative exercises, learning how to edit, sequence, and refine images into cohesive bodies of work. Emphasis is placed on process: how images emerge, how decisions are made, and how visual ideas evolve over time.
The program is designed for photographers and image-makers who want to deepen their practice, break habitual approaches, and work more consciously with meaning and structure.
